The monastery hostel – an overnight stay at Altzella Monastery Park

In keeping with the Cistercian example of austerity and suitability, our monastery hostel “Froehnerhaus” was designed with our visitors in mind. The monastery hostel, ideal for youth and adult groups as well as for families, those traveling alone and school groups, is situated in a peaceful spot in the middle of the monastery area and offers ideal conditions for tranquil days far away from the hectic and stress of everyday life.

Are you looking for somewhere to hold a celebration? Then you have found the right place. This simple but cozy room, together with the ambience of the extensive meadow around the monastery, offers an attractive setting.

Scriptorium

This building, lying in the economic section of the monastery, was mentioned in the inventories of 1541 as a writing room, and obviously was used for administrative purposes. An appropriately fitted room on the first floor can be rented, and is suitable for meetings, seminars and such events.
