The monastery hostel – an overnight stay at Altzella Monastery Park

In keeping with the Cistercian example of austerity and suitability, our monastery hostel “Froehnerhaus” was designed with our visitors in mind. The monastery hostel, ideal for youth and adult groups as well as for families, those traveling alone and school groups, is situated in a peaceful spot in the middle of the monastery area and offers ideal conditions for tranquil days far away from the hectic and stress of everyday life.

An apartment with a small ensuite kitchen and, as required, two rooms with single beds, one room with double bed and four multiple-bed (3-6 beds) rooms are a temptation to spend idyllic days in the Monastery Park. All rooms with en suite shower and restroom. Furthermore, a community room and a communal kitchen are also available. However, board is not provided and it is necessary to cook your own meals.
