Herbal expert Koreen Vetter has been looking after the monastery’s fine treasure trove for health since 2013. The medieval »hortus botanicus« supplied kitchens and hospitals and were regarded predecessors of the botanical gardens that started spreading in the 16th century. Following the model of indication beds, Koreen Vetter cultivates the herbal and plant beds according to their application for sedation, gastrointestinal conditions, cardiovascular indications or the immune system.
The adjacent paradise garden has also been tended again since 2015 by volunteers.
